青山・表参道周辺のディスプレイデザインを見て考えます。

やはりこの地域の特徴をとらえ、ヴァラエティーに富んだ個性的なディスプレイが並んでいます。

この斜めの什器は、デザイナーが現場・周辺環境を調査し、適したデザインを提案したのだと推測する。デスクで線を引くだけではなく、現場を訪れ「何を」感じ、「何を」見るか。それを「どの様なカタチ」で表現するかが、デザイナーのシゴトだと思う。そして足しげく現場に通う事が大事だと思う。現場を見ていないデザインは、机上の空論になりかねない。

学生の頃は、夜中にスケッチブックを持って明治通りの渋谷・青山周辺のショップのスケッチを良くしていた。最近は、そのような時間を作れなくてストレスが溜まっている。時間のマネージメントもその人の能力だと思うので、時間を上手に使わないとクリエートする時間が作れなくなってしまいます。現状の課題です・・

When I walk around Aoyama/Omotesandou area, and make me thinking about the display design.

There are many shops in this area, so I can see variety of design thru window.

When I see this angled display furniture and assume that designer visit the site to see the circumstance and area’s characteristic. I think as a designer has to visit the site to feel and see the environment and it reflects to the drawing and proposal.

When I was student, I went around there in midnight to sketch the shop design. Recently I can’t make such kind of creative time. I know I need to re-organize my time to make such times.

会社経営に関して、自分の甘さを思い知った。

仕事の話しのみならず、色々な話しを聞かせてもらい、自分に置き換え反省する部分が多くある。現時点で気がついて良かったと思う。

前を向いて頑張っていこうと思えたし、話して頂いた事に感謝しています。

最後に特別なスポットに連れて行ってもらって、心が落ち着きました。

I recognized I’m not hard enough to run my company.

I’ve heard not only business, but life and direction to the work from owner of the company in same field. I notice that I need to know more knowledge about business and learn about professionalism. I’m happy to recognize myself business attitude at this moment.

I appreciate for talking to me about that issue and feel going for it.

He took me to his special place when he had encountered same problem to think deeply and visualize what he really head to. I was very cozy and keep thinking what I wanna do.

日本にお見えになったゲストのプランをコーディネート&アテンド。

渋谷のセルリアンホテルのロビーは、カラートーンも落ち着いた広々とした空間です。

I had to attend the international guest whole day.

The Cerulean hotel in Shibuya is earth color tone interior.

横浜ベイサイドマリーナから横浜港を見てのプライベート・メガヨットクルーズ。そして一旦停泊後、東京湾へのクルージング。当日は天気が良く、気持ちが良い海風です。

First we cruise to Yokohama bay and port in Tokyo shortly and after that cruise to Tokyo bay. It’s very interesting to see two different views from the sea. It was nice day and very pleasant sea breeze.

最後は恵比寿の「ジョエル・ロブション」にて食事。

スープから始まるコースメニュー。全て美味しかったです。この「ロブション キャビア缶」。量に圧倒されましたが、ペロリとたいらげてしまいました。

一日を通して色々な話し合いがあり、新たな展開が生まれようとしています。

We had dinner at Joel Robuchon restaurant in Ebisu. Each dish was excellent and I especially like photo’s Robuchon special Caviar can.

We had very interesting conversation thru a day with several guests. It’s the beginning of new page.

海外の造船所のオーナーをお迎えして、クルージング。

今まで700艇以上のボートを建造し、平均すると70フィート。4 工場あり、大きさ別に各工場で建造している。NCマシーンも備えており、型専用の大きな工場も持っている。

現在では150フィートオーバーのモーターヨットを建造している。

今まで建造してきたノウハウの蓄積があり、新しい建造方法もR&Dで常に研究しているようだ。

We welcome the international guest who is the owner of shipyard and go out sea.

His shipyard has been building more than 700 motor yachts so far and average is 70 footer. There are 4 yards and it separate to the construction size. His yard strength is there is a big mold factory with CNC machine.

Currently they are building over 150ft motor yacht.

I sensed his knowledge based on the experience and their R&D department is always searching new technology of yacht building.

通常は見れない上架してある名艇のハルを見て考える。

描いては書き直し、描いては書き直しの繰り返しをする事で、洗練されていく。だがそこには、ただ単に書き直すという「ドラフター作業」ではなく、見てきたもののエッセンスを加味して描いていく。

長い道のりだが、苦しくもあり、楽しい時でもある。

I couldn’t see famous boat bottom unless the boat is hauled up. Then looking at the bottom shape and think about it.

I’ve been re-drawing again and again, but it’s getting better and I feel like getting closer to perfect shape. When I modify the drawing, it reflects what I see and check.

It been quite long way to the end, but I have to be tough enough to enjoy this kind of experience.
