When we design the seating furniture, settee (sofa), lounge chair and dining chair, we design the style and specify the material.

In addition that we specify the sponge’s (urethane form) hardness. There are several function and hardness of sponge available. We sometimes sandwich hard one and soft one.

Motor yacht is bespoke interior and we are really caring about how comfort the seating is.

ボートのシーティングエリア(ソファ、ラウンジチェア等)をデザインする際、スタイルをまとめると同時に、表皮をスペックアウトします。

それと同時に、シート部分のスポンジの硬さを調整します。時には硬めのウレタンと軟らかめウレタンとのサンドイッチにします。

ボートのインテリアは既製品がほとんど使えないカスタム製品が多いです。ソファ座面の硬さを調整する事で、心地よくサロンで寛いで頂く為、随時確認しなければいけません。目に見えない部分ですが、大事なところです。

The manufacture is specialized in boat and yacht, so it has IMO, MARPOL approved product.

We plan to install this on Galley floor. The wood is called marine antique wood with limestone biscuit inlay.

このメーカーは舶用のIMO、MARPOL承認のプロダクトがあるイギリスのメーカーです。

マリンアンティークウッドとライムストーン・ビスケットのインレイです。ギャレーの床に施工予定です。表面に質感があります。

現在アメリカはThanksgivingという大型連休中です。ターキーを食べる風習があり、家族で過ごすので大勢の人が飛行機で移動します。連休前に手配してくれた担当者に感謝です。

There is a receipt and letter inside.

We just bought the items from UK manufacture, but there was a mistake on the total amount. The relationship between buyer and supplier is based upon the trust especially international case.

We buy many stuff from abroad, so I have to build the relationship with them and I’ve learned something thru this letter.

イギリスから封筒が届いた。

中には手紙とレシートが入っている。

この封筒は先日ボートに使うアイテムを購入したメーカからだった。金額にミスがあり、払戻しが生じた。正直、大丈夫かな？と思った。何故なら海外のメーカーで、マネージャーとは話をしているが、担当の女性とは顔を合わせて購入していないからである。

ほとんどの艤装品を海外から購入しているウチにとっては、海外メーカーとの付合い方に神経を使います。

海外に限らず「信頼」を築きあげていくという事は、簡単な様で難しい事です。この手書きの手紙から学ぶべきコトを感じた。

There are many hydraulic damper used on boat.

It usually uses on hatches, FRP lid・・・

It has certain time life and needs to be changed. We have to know the weight of the things to be up to specify the damper.

ハッチ用であったり、FRPの蓋用であったりします。

ダンパーにも耐用年数があるので、交換をしなければいけません。「重さ」と「取付位置」を確認して、適したダンパーを手配します。

We can use several type of core material now. PP Honeycomb, Kevlar Honeycomb, Aluminum Honeycomb for typical honeycomb type of core material.

It depends on which part of boat will apply sandwich construction.

In addition that it reflects boat weight and balance based upon boat builder’s construction philosophy.

現在様々なコア材が使えます。PP Honeycomb・Kevlar Honeycomb・Aluminum Honeycomb等がハニカムタイプではあります(もっと他にもありますが・・)。

ボートの「どこの」箇所に使用するかによって、コア材も異なります。
