I receive the envelope from UK today.

There is a receipt and letter inside.

We just bought the items from UK manufacture, but there was a mistake on the total amount. The relationship between buyer and supplier is based upon the trust especially international case.

We buy many stuff from abroad, so I have to build the relationship with them and I’ve learned something thru this letter.

イギリスから封筒が届いた。

中には手紙とレシートが入っている。

この封筒は先日ボートに使うアイテムを購入したメーカからだった。金額にミスがあり、払戻しが生じた。正直、大丈夫かな？と思った。何故なら海外のメーカーで、マネージャーとは話をしているが、担当の女性とは顔を合わせて購入していないからである。

ほとんどの艤装品を海外から購入しているウチにとっては、海外メーカーとの付合い方に神経を使います。

海外に限らず「信頼」を築きあげていくという事は、簡単な様で難しい事です。この手書きの手紙から学ぶべきコトを感じた。

There are many hydraulic damper used on boat.

It usually uses on hatches, FRP lid・・・

It has certain time life and needs to be changed. We have to know the weight of the things to be up to specify the damper.

ボートには数多くのダンパーがあります。

ハッチ用であったり、FRPの蓋用であったりします。

ダンパーにも耐用年数があるので、交換をしなければいけません。「重さ」と「取付位置」を確認して、適したダンパーを手配します。

We can use several type of core material now. PP Honeycomb, Kevlar Honeycomb, Aluminum Honeycomb for typical honeycomb type of core material.

It depends on which part of boat will apply sandwich construction.

In addition that it reflects boat weight and balance based upon boat builder’s construction philosophy.

現在様々なコア材が使えます。PP Honeycomb・Kevlar Honeycomb・Aluminum Honeycomb等がハニカムタイプではあります(もっと他にもありますが・・)。

ボートの「どこの」箇所に使用するかによって、コア材も異なります。

愛艇の構造がどの様になっているか、コア材は何なのかを知る事により、そのボートメーカーの建造哲学を理解する事に繋がります。

On certain boat, the head is packaged with washbasin, toilet and shower in one space.

It needs a folding door for shower.

We’ve carefully researched on 3D and drawings and processed to make it.

I really worried about the size of acryl because the whole unit is made of FRP.

It perfectly fit and works well.

ある程度の大きさのボートではヘッドに「ウォッシュベイシン」「トイレ」「シャワー」が一つのスペースにあります。

シャワーを浴びる時の為に、折り畳み式のシャワードアが必要です。

ヘッドのユニット自体がFRPで出来ているので、アクリルを取り付ける金物位置や角度を3D図や図面で検証し、図面を起こし作成します。

FRP面への取り付けだったので「サイズ」と「角度」が非常に心配でしたが、うまくはまりました。スキのスペースも計算通りです。

We just receive bath accessories from UK.

Those are towel bar and toilet paper holder.

The leather arm will match with new floor material and existing wood wall. We really care about this point on the refit project.

This is high quality metal and leather and it stands out well in the space.

イギリスに発注したバスルーム・アクセサリーが、思ったより早く届いた(納期3日)。

「タオルバー」と「トイレットペーパーホルダー」です。

ブラウンのレザーアームにクロームの金物です。改造する床材、そして既存の壁との相性、そしてバランスも良いです。

このようなアクセサリーにこそ、テイストが見え隠れしますね。
