The owner installed Amtico flooring that is composite flooring material on Bertram’s galley floor.

The strip got angle, so it’s a little bit down than wood part. That feels like teak deck on aft deck and we love those details.

This product is so durable, their product can be used many car show rooms and even got IMO certification.

We’re very glad to hear that owner is happy for the flooring refit.

オーナーにコンポジット・フローリングを提案し、施工されたギャレーの床。

この床材は、インレイの部分が若干凹んでおり、まるでチークデッキのようなディテールです(勿論滑りづらいです)。重歩行も可能なタフな材で、車のショールームなど重量物を扱うスペースでも使用可能な床材です。

しかも船舶用のラインも用意してあり、IMOの承認を得ています(ちょっと高くなりますが・・)。

オーナーから「気に入ったよ」という言葉をもらえて、我々も日々もっと頑張ろうと思います。

Obviously it’s written by English and very very difficult and complicate.

But we have to read it because we need to know.

勿論、IMOですので英語表記です。尚且つ内容が複雑で難しい。

ですが、ルールですから知らないといけません！線が引けません！！

7 basic Universal Design concepts can’t forget when we design and draw the layout of the boat.

Pay attention those concepts because yacht is using by human.

Sometime it’s important to re-check based upon this design principle to arrange with our design principle.

デザインやGAをレイアウトしている時に、この7つの「ユニバーサル・デザイン」コンセプトと照らしあわさないといけない。

ボートは人間が操作し、ある一定の空間を有し、そしてenjoyするものである以上、デザインの根底にこれらはなければならない。

時にこのコンセプトを元に見直し、我々のデザイン・プリンシパルを加えていきながら進めます。

I had found this kind of paint from Ralph Lauren when I was in Seattle.

It has really rich feeling and maintenance is quite easy.

We are thinking to do this paint on the refit project.

Suede Faux Paint。日本では「植毛塗装(スエード調ペイント)」ですかね。

このペイントを知ったのはRalph Laurenのペイントで、シアトルに居る時だったので随分前です。

この塗装は触り心地もよく、インテリアがぐっとリッチな雰囲気になります。

メンテも楽なのが良いですね。写真では伝わりづらいですね・・

White and Beige color ones have to be perfectly match, but we would like to introduce some new design carpet to be modern looks.

It needs to be checked actual boat to match with existing furniture and wall color and items.

Urethane backing attached one is good for absorb noise and feel very comfortable on foot.

色々なパターン(ループやカット)のカーペットサンプルを持って来てもらった。

白系やベージュ系のカーペットが合うのは分かっているので、新しいストライプのデザインカーペットでよりモダンなインテリアを提案したいとも思う。

あとは既存の壁、ファニチャー等と合わせてカラーバランスや全体の設えを現場で確認する。

ウレタンバッキングのものは遮音効果もあるが、踏み心地が断然違います。
