When we do the refit for the boat, it often changes the sofa leather and urethane for the owner.

It’s total balance of the interior, so the sofa is related with other refit items too.

After take those out from the boat, those are directly goes to furniture shop.

First check the existing urethane and address how hard the owner wants.

Also check the direction of new fabric, even though the seat base fabric, shape of cushion air hole and stitches. Details are always very important!!

ボートが横浜に現れ、準備をしていたレストアプロジェクトがスタート。

ソファのレザーやウレタンを替えるのは、サロンやダイネッティの他のマテリアルとのバランスがあります。

まずはソファを搬出。船外に出すと結構大きいです。

そのソファをショップに持って行き、細かい打合せをします。

既存のウレタンをチェックし、硬さの調整。そして、柄物の新しいファブリックの向きや座面クッション下のファブリックの確認、クッションのエア抜き構造、ステッチの色などなどディーテールを打合せ。

都度チェックをし、綺麗に仕上げ納品します。

I went to Tokyo Motor Show 2013.

The car design is really good reference for the trend of industry design.

I check thru the keywords of Design, Material, Paint, Seat and possibility of car part to boat.

I’ve got something thru this show.

「2013年Tokyo Motor Show」に挨拶も兼ね、行ってきました。

目的は、Carデザインはボートと同じインダストリアルデザインを牽引するので、そのトレンドと方向性の確認です。

キーワードとして「デザイン・材質・塗料・シート・船への応用部品」をフィルターにして見てきました。

各社のプロダクトをみて、今やっているデザインが見えてきました。

At the early phase of design, we have to check the geometry of the boat.

After that, create the 3D rendering to make sure what SIMPLE, LUXUARY & FUNCTION meaning with client.

Thru these 3D, we can check and discuss to match with the design direction we’re heading to.

初期フェーズでは、まずボート全体の「ジオメトリー」をチェックします。

そして、3Dのレンダリングをおこし「シンプル・ラグジュアリー・ファンクション」というクライアントからリクエストされているキーワードに照らし合わせていきます。

シンプル等の意味は各人によって違うので、提案をベースにデザインの方向性を確認していきます。

It’s great to the boat with designed stainless parts.

I saw these parts at the factory.

These metal parts design enhance THE boat characteristic and add the value.

以前、ステンレスショップで見たカスタムステンレスパーツがボートに付いていました。

この船はフォートローダーデールのボートショーに出展されており、ステンレスパーツはほぼカスタムデザインです。

メタルパーツがデザインされたボートはそのボートの個性を引き立て、価値を高めます。

It was cold day, but no rain at the incline test on the boat.

Done the menu of the test and working on the drawing and sheets based upon the data from the test.

試験当日はとても寒い日でしたが、雨が降らなくて良かったです。

段取りよく諸々のテスト項目をこなし、得たデータから図面やデータシートに落とし込んでいきます。
