I kindly received the updated leather sample book from state.

This leather isn’t vinyl, it’s a microfiber material. Also it got certification of IMO652 & IMO653.

Their unique patter and high quality is unbelievable.

We’ll use this leather on upcoming refit project and now preparing for color board.

アメリカから沢山のレザーサンプルが届いた。

このレザーはビニールレザーではなく、100%マイクロファイバーで出来ている。

特筆すべきは「IMO652」と「IMO653」の防炎規格をとっている事。つまり舶用のレザーという事です。

ユニークなパターンとクォリティが高いレザーです。色味も沢山あります。

提案者として、出来るだけ難燃、又は防炎のマテリアルを勧めます。ですが、現実的に防炎の物はデザインに制限があり、中々良いものが無いのが現実です。さすがボートマーケットの大きい欧米ですし、メーカー努力が素晴らしいですね。

It’s necessary for me to make a time to do a brain storming for the project.

I heard what client want, but I don’t want make just client imagine. We want to present beyond the client expectation with good combination of elegance and surprise.

I sketched many ideas on GA with looking thru reference as magazine and material brochure.

I came up with great idea and we will organize on the drawing and proposal.

無駄に思えるかもしれないが、アイデア出しをするブレインストームの時間が必要です。

クライアントからのリクエストをヒアリングし、それを反映させた案。そして、求められてはいないが、アレンジを加えた案と複数案提案します。

参考になるカタログやマテリアルを見ながら、GAに色々とスケッチをしてブレストします。すぐにアイデアは出るわけも無く、描いては消しの繰り返しです。この作業によって方向性やコンセプトが固まってきます。

アイデアを図面やコンセプトボートにまとめより良い表現方法を心掛けます。

I had very open idea meeting.

We discussed about initial concept.

The photo is the interior floor of the sports fisherman.

We will propose exciting plan because I’m already exciting about the project.

オープンディスカッションのミーティングでは、色々なアイデアが出てきます。

時にアイデアが出すぎるとまとまらない場合がありますが、コンセプトが明確なミーティングでは有効に作用します。

実物のサンプルや写真を参照しながら、色々と話をします。

これからブレストをして、魅力的なプランニング、心に響くようなデザインにまとめあげます。

I went to central part of Japan today for meeting.

I had a chance to go cruise in the bay.

It’s very important experience for me to get on ride on designing boat because it’s gonna be good resource to reflect the design.

打合せで中部地区へ新幹線で。1時間半の移動時間はストレスの無い移動時間ですし、移動時間内に集中して出来る事もあります。

打合せ後、三河湾をクルーズ。

この様な経験がデザインに反映します。机上の空論ではなく、現場でナニを感じ、ドノヨウニ表現するかに影響します。

The detail drawing is necessary to explain the way of construction.

Some parts are complicated and it needs detail drawing for certain worker.

I believe drawing is the best way to communicate with carpenter to discuss about the construction.

多々ある図面の中で詳細図は重要な図面の一つです。

複雑な形状や、色々なマテリアルの組合せなどを図面で表現します。

この図面は現場でのコミュニケーションを取るうえでも欠かせない図面です。現場の考えもあります。大概は現場でスケッチをしたり、電話等でコミュニケーションしながら随時対応していきます。
