To design boat profile, it’s very important stem angle and chine.

It’s depends on the type of boat, but the stem is always getting high water pressure on running and chine drops out the
water and get the boat balance.

Each boat has original identity, and I have to read thru existing philosophy.

各々のメーカーや船型により違う。当然ながらステム(船首部分)は走行中に水圧がかかり、漂流物などがあたったとしても耐えうる頑強さがなければならない。

チャインの形状は海水を叩き落とすと同時に、船全体の走行バランスを整える。

既存のボートをみて、その計算やしいては哲学の一部を考察する。

I’m so glad to be introduced these alfresco fabrics.

We use certain amount of outdoor fabric for boat. Like aft deck seat, fly bridge seat and fishing cockpit seat.

It’s very European taste and touches like cotton.

Of course, it’s water proof.

ボートでは屋外用のファブリックを多用します。アフトデッキシート、FBシート、フィッシングコックピット、メザニンシートなどがあります。

ヨーロピアンならではデザインで、肌触りに高級感があります。

勿論、防水仕様です。

We are proposing new material for the refit project.

First select the material and need to measure the size of existing shape and calculate the amount of material.

If it won’t change the whole things, it needs to care the balance of change parts and unchanged parts.

改造プロジェクトにおいて、新しいマテリアルを提案しています。

マテリアルを選定し、既存のレイアウトを採寸し、図面をおこし割付します。図面にする事で発注数量を計算できますし、施工時に割付指示図にもなります。

既存の部分を残しながら、箇所箇所に新しいマテリアルを施工していくので「バランス」が大事です。

To catch up with the construction site, we have to set up the color scheme and material selection.

Every owner has own taste and idea. What I need is organize the ideas and control the color balance. One very important thing is don’t make stopping the site!!

ボートオーナーそれぞれが「アイデア」や「好み」があり、そのバラバラなピースをバランスを整えながらまとめます。重要な事の一つとして、『現場』の手を止めさせない事です。

We are having a construction meeting at the yard in Taiwan.

The site is progressing gradually, but I’m here for smother operation and new inputs for the design.

We had long meeting with owner and have to conclude by the time I leave. It has to be quick decision.

新造のボート建造会議で台湾へ。

ちょうど台湾建国100年の記念日(10/10日)で、花火があがりにぎやかです。

建造は着実に進んでおり、現在インテリアを施工。ボートが大きいだけに現場に人が入っています。

オーナーを交えてデザインの打合せをし、納期と現場の都合上からクイックにまとめないといけません。
