We had meeting with several installers for the refit boat.

Refit is related many area, so each specialist will do their jobs.

We don’t want to be long construction time, so before actual refit job starts, we prepare all the necessary material such as rail, leather, carpet and many others from international.

It’s sometime hard to figure out the same material as original one, but it comes from research and knowledge from the boat show and more importantly I know to whom I should ask.

レストアプロジェクトの打合せを現場でおこないました。

レストアは色々な分野に分かれており、各スペシャリストが施工していきます。

「クォリティ」は常に第一優先ですが、工事の「効率化」そして「工期短縮」を常に考えているので、施工前に殆どのマテリアルや部品類は揃えておきます。というのも殆どが海外からなので、時間がかかる為です。

レストアで既存のマテリアルを使いながら、プランによって「そのもの」を使わないといけないケースが多いです。その材料を見つけるのは、経験、そしてボートショーなどでのリサーチの積み重ねからきています。

それと共に無理が言える信頼関係が出来上がったネットワークの確立です。これは時間とコミュニケーションが必要ですね。

After two meeting, I headed to well know yard in Taiwan, Horizon.

I saw my name on the welcome board and it shows the Horizon hospitality.

A lot of things we discussed thru item by item for big refit, maintenance and inspection with GM and engineers.

Horizon is always welcoming my visit and giving me some ideas.

2件の打合せ後、世界的にも有名な「ホライゾン」へ移動。

エントランスに自分の名前があり、Horizon Yachtのホスピタリティーの一部が垣間見れます。

計画中のメンテナンスやレストアを項目事にGMとエンジニアの人達と打合せします。この工程は時間が懸かりますが、双方にとってとても大事な打合せです。

ホライゾンに行く度に、いつも温かく迎えてくれ、尚且つデザインやエンジニアリングの情報交換の良いアイデアをもらいます。

I’m in Taiwan to have a new boat construction meeting in the yard.

Designing the boat is related with many things, like material, dimension, layoute, lighting, entertainment system and so on.

Because of the construction progress, we better discuss lower deck that is mostly state rooms first.

I have limited time, but we discuss a lot of thing.

And most important thing is decide the things to carry on the design.

We have to have this kind of meeting a least twise a month during the constrction.

「建造ミーティング」で台湾のヤードに来ています。

ボートをデザインするという事は、色々な事が関係しています。

各居住区のスケール、レイアウト、材料、ライティング、エンターテイメントシステムや諸々です。

建造工程から、ロウアーデッキ、つまりマスタールームなどがある各居住区から打合せです。

一日で残り2件の打合せもあり、限られた時間でしたが大事な打合せが出来ました。

検討する事も大事ですが、「決める」事です。

この様な建造打合せは、建造中に度々やる事で仕上りに違いが出ます。

The wood is necessary for boat interior.

It’s really important to pick right wood veneer and pattern, color and finish.

And also it’s better see the large panel to see the pattern of the wood and color.

We are planning to mix with couple of wood to little bit contrast of interior, so need to check the marrige between two things are good.

There are varaety of wood is available, however it’s natural thing, so we have to be carful about how to pick the right one.

プレジャーボートのインテリアにおいて、「木」は非常に重要なマテリアルです。

適した樹種をスペックアウトし、板目・柾目の確認、そしてナチュラルのカラーからの色味、そしてフィニッシュなどなどチェックしていきます。

木の選定時には、出来るだけ大きなパネルで確認をします。

今回は数種類の木べニアのコンビネーションでコントラストを考えているので、それぞれの木との相性を確認しなければいけません。

様々な合板がありますが、天然木なので必要量の確保が大事になります。

We’re planning to install mirror with TV system in the new build’s Master State Room.

What great about this system is that if owner doesn’t watch the monitor, it’s just mirror.

When the monitor’s power is ON, it appears on the mirror.

Basically people won’t see the TV monitor itself. It’s behind the mirror.

We had a meeting to check the detail of the system, like dimension, lead time and requirement.

One more great thing about this system is that it can be linked with lighting, window covering and AC control, control by one tablet style controller.

ミラーにTVが埋まっているシステムを新造のマスタールームに導入予定です。

このシステムの良い所は、TVモニターをONにしていない時は、ただの鏡です。

ONにした時に、鏡の一部にモニターでの映像が流れます。TV本体を見ることはありません。

ショールームにて詳細の打合せ、施工方法や要求寸法の確認、そして大事な納期のチェックをしました。

このシステムのもう一つ良い所は、他のシステムにリンクする事が出来る事です。つまり、タブレット型のコントローラーで照明やカーテンなどのウィンドウカバリング、そしてエアコンも制御が可能です。
