We had meeting with several installers for the refit boat.

Refit is related many area, so each specialist will do their jobs.

We don’t want to be long construction time, so before actual refit job starts, we prepare all the necessary material such as rail, leather, carpet and many others from international.

It’s sometime hard to figure out the same material as original one, but it comes from research and knowledge from the boat show and more importantly I know to whom I should ask.

レストアプロジェクトの打合せを現場でおこないました。

レストアは色々な分野に分かれており、各スペシャリストが施工していきます。

「クォリティ」は常に第一優先ですが、工事の「効率化」そして「工期短縮」を常に考えているので、施工前に殆どのマテリアルや部品類は揃えておきます。というのも殆どが海外からなので、時間がかかる為です。

レストアで既存のマテリアルを使いながら、プランによって「そのもの」を使わないといけないケースが多いです。その材料を見つけるのは、経験、そしてボートショーなどでのリサーチの積み重ねからきています。

それと共に無理が言える信頼関係が出来上がったネットワークの確立です。これは時間とコミュニケーションが必要ですね。

I had 2 meetings in the morning.

One is for solving the problem we are having for generator with engineer, and another is for checking the status of the order and update new items. A lot of discussion and useful information I got thru these meeting.

It always worthies to discuss at the table, not only by phone call and e-mail.

午前中に2件の打合せをこなします。

まずは抱えている発電機の問題を、現物を見ながらエンジニアと打合せ。頭を抱える事が多いですが、何かしらのヒントを得ました。

その後、違うショップで発注済のオーダー確認と共に、艤装品のアップデート。現物があるので、チェック出来ます。

電話やメールでのやり取りを元に、同じテーブルに座り打合せをする時間は大事ですし、むしろ効率的です。

After the boat construction meeting, I take bullet train back to next meeting place.

I need to update the boat equipment regulary and meet with the technician get the information.

There is always new information available to me.

建造の打合せ後、新幹線で次の打合せ場所に移動。

ボート艤装品屋さんで最新の機器のアップデートやテクニカルな情報交換をします。

常に新しい艤装品があり、準備してくれています。

Hydraulic & electric stainless marine hardware sometime doesn’t work properly.

It’s require special knowledge and work flow.

Even these toolboxes are well organized.

ボートについている「ステンレス油圧や電動システム」は時々不具合を起します。

限られた情報では対処出来ないのと、専門的な知識が要求されます。

重たいスーツケースに入った工具箱にも、見たことも無い工具が入ってました。

アメリカから来たエンジニアの段取りとワークフローの良さに学ぶべき事を沢山見つけました。

Halogen light bulb is easily broken.

But the lighting controlled by dimmer, it seems like the bulb life is longer.

ハロゲン球はよくきれます。きれだすと、何故か一気にきれだしますね。

調光器つきのハロゲンダウンライトは中々きれず、寿命が長いです。
