It’s getting close to end of the year 2011. I would like to thank for everything in this year.

We finished coming new year traditional decoration and wait for bright year.

今年もあと数日で終わりです。新年の飾りつけをして終わります。

今日から休みですが、休み中も落ち着かないので事務所に来て色々な事をしてしまいます。

About 7 years ago, I had come back from US to Japan and started my business.

I didn’t know the market difference, but I just followed my enthusiasm.

I didn’t have enough projects at that time, had been sitting on the chair and didn’t create the chance even. Nobody knows I’m here to do what??

Back then sometime I just wanted to see the sea. So I got on the bike and went to park from my office.

I visit the place recently. It hasn’t changed the place, but I recognize that I change.

I really appreciate for the chance and understanding.

Again, I thank you for everybody I met and look forward to seeing more chance.

約7年前にアメリカから帰国し、勢いそのまま事務所を立ち上げました。

日本のボート市場も分からず、自分の情熱のみを信じて立ち上げたものの、当然ながら仕事は無く悶々とした日々を過ごしていました。

『海』が見たいという単純な衝動から、事務所から自転車で15分程の工場脇の公園へ行き一人よく考えていたものです(海というよりは運河ですが、それでも良いのです)。

久しぶりにその公園を訪れ、自分自身の変化、そして機会に感謝をしました。

今年も沢山の方々にお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。

多くのの出会いがあり、ご縁があってお仕事をさせて頂いている事に感謝しております。

来年も色々な事があると想像すると、今からワクワクし創造意欲がわいてきます。

The Showboats magazine annually reports global order book.

This year and coming next year appears tough numbers, 3% down from 2011.

It is an interesting note that 139 shipyards counted in 2008, but now, 2011, counts 209 yards. More shipbuilders in China and Turkey.

No. 1 shipbuilding country is, of course, Italy, and US is following second. Turkey is 3^rd and Netherlands is 4^th.

There are a lot of meanings behind this chart.

ボート雑誌の「Showboats」が毎年発表している『Global Order Book』。80フィート以上建造のオーダーブックです。

今年、来年の数字は良い数字が並んでおりません。来年は今年に比べ3%ダウンです。

特筆すべきは、2008年では造船所の数が「139」だったのが、2011年では「209」です。この増加は「トルコ」と「中国」で造船所が増えた事を意味しています。

No.1の造船国は、いつもながら「イタリア」。そして「アメリカ」が続き、「トルコ」「オランダ」になります。

このチャートから読み取れるジジツ、そしてナガレがあります。

I receive the envelope from UK today.

There is a receipt and letter inside.

We just bought the items from UK manufacture, but there was a mistake on the total amount. The relationship between buyer and supplier is based upon the trust especially international case.

We buy many stuff from abroad, so I have to build the relationship with them and I’ve learned something thru this letter.

イギリスから封筒が届いた。

中には手紙とレシートが入っている。

この封筒は先日ボートに使うアイテムを購入したメーカからだった。金額にミスがあり、払戻しが生じた。正直、大丈夫かな？と思った。何故なら海外のメーカーで、マネージャーとは話をしているが、担当の女性とは顔を合わせて購入していないからである。

ほとんどの艤装品を海外から購入しているウチにとっては、海外メーカーとの付合い方に神経を使います。

海外に限らず「信頼」を築きあげていくという事は、簡単な様で難しい事です。この手書きの手紙から学ぶべきコトを感じた。

We can use several type of core material now. PP Honeycomb, Kevlar Honeycomb, Aluminum Honeycomb for typical honeycomb type of core material.

It depends on which part of boat will apply sandwich construction.

In addition that it reflects boat weight and balance based upon boat builder’s construction philosophy.

現在様々なコア材が使えます。PP Honeycomb・Kevlar Honeycomb・Aluminum Honeycomb等がハニカムタイプではあります(もっと他にもありますが・・)。

ボートの「どこの」箇所に使用するかによって、コア材も異なります。

愛艇の構造がどの様になっているか、コア材は何なのかを知る事により、そのボートメーカーの建造哲学を理解する事に繋がります。
